EnterSolar Develops 500kW Rooftop System in Newark for PSE&G

EnterSolar Partners with PSE&G and Newark Public Schools

EnterSolar announced the completion of a 500 kilowatt ("kW") rooftop solar photovoltaic ("PV") system that was developed for Public Service Electric & Gas ("PSE&G") and was installed on the roof of Central High School in Newark, New Jersey. The project, which uses new generation inverters to track production, is part of PSE&G's Solar 4 All program and a five school solar pilot program initiated by the Newark Public Schools Facilities Management Office.

"As a leading Solar PV developer serving the commercial market in the Northeast, EnterSolar is proud to help New Jersey accelerate the adoption of solar energy and we were honored to be selected to for this groundbreaking project," commented Paul Ahern, President of EnterSolar. "We commend PSE&G and the Newark Public Schools for advancing strong environmental benefits in the community, and also for the outstanding educational initiative this important technology provides to students in conjunction with their regular science curriculum."

The 500kW rooftop system consists of 2,500 panels, and was the first solar system in New Jersey to incorporate inverter technology that tracks energy production for each string of panels separately, allowing maximum production on a roof with partial shading.

"Realizing all of our Solar 4 All program goals will require a great deal of hard work and strong partnerships," said Al Matos, Vice President of Renewables and Energy Solutions, PSE&G. "I'm happy to say that EnterSolar's work on the Newark Public Schools solar project helped to bring us one step closer to realizing the ultimate target of installing 80 megawatts of solar capacity under this program."

EnterSolar developed the project from their Newark, NJ office. Installation services were provided by LB Electric Co., LLC.
