New Jersey Distributor Goes Solar

EnterSolar partnered with a privately-owned wholesale distributor of commercial and industrial supplies to install a rooftop solar photovoltaic system.  The company distributes over 500,000 parts to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing facilities worldwide. EnterSolar installed a 3.8 MW rooftop solar photovoltaic system at the company’s distribution center in central New Jersey.

Solar Photovoltaic System Specifications

The solar system has a total capacity of 3.8 kW DC, comprised of over 12,000 individual panels, almost 300 3-phase string inverters, and an inverter-level data monitoring system with an integrated commercial weather station.  The system is projected to produce about 4,800,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

The system uses SolarEdge power optimizers, which increase energy output from photovoltaic systems by tracking the maximum power point of each individual module, thus allowing for flexibility when designing module string size, tilt, and orientation.

The environmental benefit of the system is equivalent to powering 593 homes for one year or planting 736 acres of trees. The company‘s use of solar power will also result in the avoidance of about 6,312,688 pounds of CO2 per year.

Incentive Provided by the New Jersey SREC Program

EnterSolar negotiated a premium long-term fixed-price SREC contract to drive compelling project returns while mitigating SREC price volatility.  The SREC contract guarantees that the company will receive additional revenue for every kWh of solar energy generated.  EnterSolar’s expertise in optimizing system design and solar project financing made going solar a sound capital investment for the client.
