Technical Support Engineer

Location: Los Altos CA, Los Angeles CA, or San Diego CA

Summary: Based in New York City, EnterSolar is the preferred national provider of solar energy systems to the commercial marketplace, as well as microgrid systems incorporating battery energy storage and electric vehicle charging. Unique in its combination of business operations and solar and storage expertise, the company works with commercial enterprises to deliver optimal energy solutions with compelling, long-term return on investment (ROI).

Position Expectations: Primary purpose is to ensure our site hosts and drivers have the most satisfying experience doing their part to help our environment.  This is a key role to ensure our service is reliable and drivers can charge their EVs and go home worry-free.

As a member of the support team, you will be a trusted advisor and problem solver for our clients, cultivating relationships, enabling clients to optimize their experience and their systems, and driving revenue through program expansions.  You will answer support e-mails and calls, capture detailed diagnostics, analyze patterns among support issues, talk to drivers and site hosts to solve problems in real-time.  Being able to help people solve problems can bring immense satisfaction to the right people with the right mindset.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Qualifications:

Senior Analyst, Project Finance

Position Expectations: The Senior Analyst will play a key role in financing of the company’s solar, storage, and electric vehicle projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive national renewable energy firm in the Manhattan, New York office. The qualified candidate should have at least 2-3 years of asset financing and transaction experience, be intellectually curious and self-motivated, very well organized, and have a strong interest in project finance and renewable energy. The Senior Analyst will have an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of energy project development and financing. The role will work across the company’s Business Development, Project Management, Engineering, Finance and Accounting departments to support the day-to-day activities around asset sales to drive company profitability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Analyst will support the day-to-day activities around asset sales to third-party investors. Key responsibilities include:
    • Create investment materials and solicit bids/project valuations from investors and/or lenders.  Because of EnterSolar’s financing experience and access to the capital markets, the company manages its own processes rather than engaging with external investment banks.
    • Take part in valuation and contract negotiations (Membership Interest & Purchase Agreements, Engineering-Procurement-Construction Agreements, etc.).
    • Financial modeling and analysis
    • Engage in all aspects of transaction management and execution, including due diligence, data room management and internal risk and return evaluations.
    • Work with Business Development and Project Development teams to coordinate projects in the pipeline and plan out financing processes to ensure timely construction.
  • With the growth of the business, general organizational assistance will be required. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Identify and support initiatives to continuously improve and/or automate business processes across the company with a focus on tools or processes related to financing

Solar O&M Intern

Summary: MaxSolar is a provider of Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Technical and Asset Management Services for commercial solar photovoltaic systems. The MaxSolar team is comprised of dedicated service technicians, electricians, engineers, and financial analysts. As a comprehensive services provider, the company can support client needs throughout the entire project life cycle. MaxSolar programs ensure that system owners receive the maximum energy, environmental, and financial benefits from their assets.

Position Expectations: MaxSolar is now accepting applications for a 2021 Spring/Summer Internship.  The qualified candidates should be bright and hard-working, with a strong interest in renewable energy.

The intern will be exposed to a range of activities while assisting with all aspects of operations and maintenance of commercial PV systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the dynamic and rapidly-growing renewable energy industry.  This is a paid part-time internship position with potential for full-time employment based on evaluation of work performance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with implementation of Salesforce CRM and Field Service management platform, including data entry, contract maintenance and pricebook entries.
  • Assist with daily system monitoring and analyzing operations/performance of solar facilities

Procurement Manager

Position Expectations: The Procurement Manager will oversee the Procurement department’s goals, strategies and functions. This individual will be responsible for determining and overseeing the technical due diligence, organizational workflow, instituting appropriate process and training, and personnel management. In addition, this individual will serve as management for the Procurement team in order to provide leadership including, but not limited to, financial oversight, business strategy-planning, and analyzing and improving organizational processes. Renewable Asset Incentive Manager

Location: San Diego area or Los Altos area, CA

EnterSolar is now accepting applications for a Renewable Asset Incentive Manager located in California!

Position Expectations:

The Renewable Asset Incentive Manager will create a strategy and build a team to manage electric vehicle (“EV”), solar, and storage incentive revenue. They will ensure compliance with all incentive program requirements efficiently by utilizing systems such as SalesForce, ProCore, etc. The Renewable Asset Incentive Manager is extremely detail oriented and experienced in implementing systems that track compliance items and will utilize resources to bring compliance requirements to completion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

30% – Administration

  • SME for EV, solar, and storage current and future incentive program requirements
  • Responsible for creating a strategy to track deadlines for hundreds of active projects
  • Ensure the completion and filing of relevant paperwork with granting authorities

Controller, Sr. Director of Accounting

Location: NYC, San Diego, or Los Altos, CA

We are seeking a Controller, Sr. Director of Accounting to support Powerflex/EnterSolar, which provides onsite renewable energy solutions including solar, battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions.  In this role you will be responsible for developing and leading the overall accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting by driving consistent and efficient operations across the accounting team.  Success in this role is dependent on leadership, organization/people development, process improvement, and ability to deal with a rapidly changing business environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, develop and improve the monthly / quarterly / annual close processes for a fast-paced, rapidly growing company with multiple service and product lines
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of quarterly and annual financial statements; ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data, including both internal reporting for management and external reporting
  • Oversee general ledger functions, assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, leading practices and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance
  • Manage the cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability and the maintenance of minimum required cash balances

Project Manager

EnterSolar is now accepting applications for Project Manager positions located in California and New York.

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of multiple solar energy projects through completion at any given time. The responsibilities include coordination with the utilities and townships, permitting, resource management, incentive management, contractor negotiation, and construction management. The Project Manager interacts with clients throughout the entire project, from contract signature until transition to our O&M team.

Director, Sales Operations

Position Expectations:

EnterSolar is seeking a Director of Sales Operations to lead a team of C&I solar sales professionals to originate onsite solar, storage and EV charging opportunities for large business enterprises nationally. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily management of the sales team and supporting their origination efforts through team building, coaching, training, market strategy, and deal support. Additionally, the Director of Sales Operations will be responsible for driving channel partnership engagement and identifying new sales channels in the marketplace related to C&I solar, storage and EV charging projects. A successful Director of Sales Operations will bring a track record of successfully selling to and building partnerships with large enterprise customers, and will be able to motivate and guide a team of seasoned sales professionals with a steady hand.

The Director of Sales Operations will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development and will be closely supported by the Marketing, Project Development and Market Analysis teams within the broader Business Development group at EnterSolar.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Operations:

  • Responsible for day to day personnel management of the sales team
  • Maintain a culture of learning and advancement by leading education efforts and training the team on new technologies, tools, processes and sales skills

Strategy & Operations Summer Associate

Position Expectations: The Strategy & Operations Summer Associate will support the Distributed Solutions Business Unit (EnterSolar and Powerflex) in formalizing its strategy on a few key topics and will help the team implement operational changes to roll out its strategy

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare bi-weekly strategy presentation for Executive teams, working with the project and product teams
  • Present to Executive team
  • Topics could include
    • Sizing and segmenting the US On-Site Solar market from 100kW to 10MW and key success factors in each segment
    • Software platform as a service: success stories and cautionary tales (with focus on energy sector)
    • Competitive landscape in Fleet electrification
    • Emerging regional markets in US solar C&I
  • Support implementation of dashboards to track performance across the Business Unit

Project Engineer

Locations: Manhattan Beach, CA or New York, NY

The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects, and will be exposed to all aspects of projects. Contract Manager

Scope of Job:

We are seeking a Contract Manager to support our growth in the Solar Energy, Energy Storage and EV Charging industry. You will partner with the legal team and other management stakeholders on all contracting aspects of the company, and will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contract terms, identifying and communicating legal and commercial risks, and leading the management of workflow for the legal team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented person with strong contract experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and negotiate contracts with legal team (including project sale, power purchase and construction agreements)
  • Identify legal and commercial issues and present information and solutions to management

Solar O&M Technician

MaxSolar, an affiliate of EnterSolar, is a leading provider of Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Asset Management and Technical Services for solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems in the commercial marketplace.  As a comprehensive services provider, the company can support client needs throughout the entire project life cycle.  MaxSolar programs ensure that system owners receive the maximum energy, environmental, and financial benefits from their assets.

The Solar O&M Technician is required to troubleshoot and resolve solar PV and battery storage system issues, including emergency repairs/corrective maintenance, design change requirements, and equipment modifications/upgrades. Position will also be responsible for Preventative Maintenance activities to support system performance of O&M portfolio, as well as, QA/QC inspections, system commissioning and pre-con site assessments.

Position Location(s): Southern California, Greater Boston Area, New York State Capital Region

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out O&M tasks such as electrical/mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, IR scanning, torque checks on connections, and overall site conditions.
  • System alarm response/dispatch as needed.
  • Prepare inspection and service reports for site visits, emergency repairs, equipment modifications and equipment troubleshooting.

Permitting Associate

Position Expectations:

The Permitting Associate is responsible for leading the discretionary permitting process (conditional-use and special-use permits) for EnterSolar’s commercial solar and storage pipeline. This individual must exhibit technical knowledge of solar projects, have experience obtaining discretionary permits, be highly organized, collaborative, and possess strong leadership skills. As part of the Project Development team, the Permitting Associate will work closely with other project developers, salespeople and internal stakeholders to ensure the clear understanding, submission, and execution of all discretionary permits. The Permitting Associate will also lead all external engagement with civil sub-contractors and legal counsel on deliverables, designs, and project schedules, and represent EnterSolar at town planning board meetings. The Permitting Associate will also guide the implementation of processes and software necessary to successfully execute permitting approvals.

In addition to the Project Development team, the Permitting Associate will work with the Project Management, Engineering, and Accounting teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Discretionary Permitting

  • Lead all internal & external discretionary permitting efforts
  • Conduct pre-construction permitting research to support early-stage development; documenting all research and requirements by AHJ/County
  • Work with project developers and development engineers to establish project-specific
    discretionary permitting requirements including strategies, timelines, budgets, scopes and required documentation

Position Expectations: The Site Superintendent provides on-site coordination for all phases of solar, solar+storage, and EV charging station construction projects, including managing and coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and project site safety. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

95%     Project coordination, supervision, and management, including the following:

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel required to project sites and Company offices. Short- and long-term (6-9 months) stays at project site locations which may be outside of the employee’s home state are required. Fiscal Responsibilities:
With prior approval, the Superintendent can incur costs to support the project, such as purchasing and providing materials, snacks for workers, and first aid items.
