Solar Photovoltaic System Specifications and Environmental Benefits
The solar system is made up of 1,328 individual solar panels atop their facility and will produce an estimated 523,021 kWh of electricity annually to offset more than 100% of the facility’s on-site electricity consumption. The clean energy produced by the system has the environmental benefits equivalent to saving 38,480 gallons of gasoline or planting 8,862 trees a year. Bohea’s use of solar power will also result in the avoidance of more than 750,200 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.
Significant Financial Returns
Bohea’s solar system utilized the PSE&G Solar Loan to help finance the project. The solar loan allows businesses in PSE&G’s electrical service territory to install solar photovoltaic systems through a 15-year loan. EnterSolar’s expertise in optimizing system design, combined with the available federal and New Jersey State Solar incentives yields Bohea a rapid payback period and an attractive, long-term internal rate of return.
