EnterSolar Completes 1.3 Megawatt Rooftop Installation For Bozzuto's Inc.

Cheshire, CT Wholesale Distributor Adds Solar to Power Distribution Center

EnterSolar, a leading New York-based provider of solar solutions to commercial enterprises today announced the completion of a 1.3 Megawatt (MW) solar system at Cheshire, CT based Bozzuto’s Inc, a wholesale distributor of food and household products. A large user of power, the system will produce solar credits equivalent to nearly ten percent of the company’s annual power.

Going solar provides significant environmental benefits to Bozzuto’s, its Cheshire neighbors and greater Connecticut area neighbors by reducing the release of CO2 emissions by nearly 1.5 million lbs annually and equivalent to saving almost 75,000 gallons of gas per year.  Additional representations of the environmental benefits of this system are represented in the chart below:

EnterSolar worked with Bozzuto’s to create the financing, development and engineering solutions for the significant installation. Bozzuto’s utilized the CT ZREC Program which provides solar system owners with a 15-year contractual revenue source which pays them a fixed price for every kilowatt-hour ("kWh") of solar electricity generated, in addition to the savings on their electric bill.

“EnterSolar has worked with a large number of food and beverage distributors and recognizes the unique power needs of organizations of this kind,” said Paul Ahern, president, EnterSolar.  “Aiding Bozzutos in creating a meaningful portion of its power usage through sustainable, solar energy is aligned with our mission of creating a solar opportunity for businesses of all sizes and scope.”
