Door and Frame Manufacturer Adds Solar to Power Their Manufacturing Facility in Carlstadt, NJ
EnterSolar, a leading provider of solar solutions to commercial enterprises, announced the completion of a 710 Kilowatt (kW) solar system for Pioneer Industries at their manufacturing facility in Carlstadt, NJ. Pioneer Industries is a U.S. manufacturer of steel doors and frames. The solar system is made up of 2,091 individual panels, and the clean energy it generates will offset more than 75% of the on-site annual electricity usage.
Going solar provides significant environmental benefits to Pioneer Industries and their New Jersey area neighbors by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1,285,700 pounds annually. These benefits are equivalent to saving nearly 66,000 gallons of gas or planting 554 acres of U.S. forests a year.
EnterSolar worked with Pioneer Industries to customize the optimal financing and engineering solutions for the installation. Pioneer Industries utilized the NJ SREC Program, which provides solar system owners with revenue for every megawatt-hour (MWh) of solar electricity generated, in addition to the savings on their electric bill.
“EnterSolar understands the importance of uninterrupted operations during the solar installation,” said Paul Ahern, president, EnterSolar. “With Pioneer Industries, we were able to provide them a seamless transition to solar energy that reduces their exposure to volatile energy prices. In generating their own clean energy on-site, they can better ensure their energy security for the future.”
