DialAmerica Headquarters Hosts a Major Rooftop Solar System

DialAmerica, one of the nation’s largest privately held teleservices companies, partnered with EnterSolar to install a 271 kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic (PV) system roof installation at DialAmerica’s corporate headquarters facility in Mahwah, N.J. The state-of-the-art renewable energy project is the latest component of DialAmerica’s corporate sustainability program, which includes a major recycling program, the use of environmentally friendly products and the support of an eco-conscious culture wherever possible.

Solar Photovoltaic System Specifications

The DialAmerica solar photovoltaic system includes over 1,000 individual solar modules equipped with power optimizers, one central commercial inverter, a nonpenetrating roof mounting system, and a data acquisition system with string-level monitoring capabilities and a commercial weather station.

The system will produce over 300,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, satisfying a significant percentage of the electricity required for DialAmerica’s headquarters. This equates to the reduction of more than 410,000 pounds of carbon emissions annually. Over the next 25 years, the system will produce enough clean electricity to power over 40 homes for that same period.

Compelling Project-Level Investment Returns

EnterSolar arranged a 10-year fixed price SREC financing solution for DialAmerica, providing the project with a highly visible and predictable cash flow stream in addition to the ongoing electricity savings. The project-level economics were also improved through the use of the Federal Treasury Grant and the MACRS depreciation treatment. “This project demonstrates the compelling economic—as well as societal - benefits that environmentally conscience companies like DialAmerica can realize through well-structured solar power projects.”
