Suparna has a passion for the environment and renewable energy technologies and has spent most of her career developing and commercializing cutting-edge solar products. Ultimately, she wants to expand the adoption of solar power while enabling customers to capture the financial and environmental benefits. She excels at building relationships and moving projects forward. She has the unique ability to understand all of the details and distill them into a simple message for various client stakeholders.
During her 14 years in the solar industry, she has worked throughout the solar value chain at solar module manufacturers, solar electronics manufacturers, solar mounting manufacturers and residential solar sales. Her greatest accomplishment was building a technology startup from concept through product development to commercial sales focused on making solar cheaper and simpler for residential customers. She led the fundraising, partner/channel development, and sales & marketing. After raising Series A venture funding and reaching sales targets, she sold the company to SunEdison, a Fortune 500 company, for over 3x valuation.
Suparna has a deep business and technical background and holds an MS in Chemical Engineering and MBA from MIT and a B.S. Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
